MERRY CNY y'all!
hah. finally first day of cny has passed and gone. cny is still dreadful to me all these years and the only redeeming factor is the $$$ that comes with it. though my mom said there were fewer relatives, the total haul seemed the same (maybe more bcos still got 2nd day!) - helped by the n
anw i wanna recount my horrible start to the week with the culmination to cny bcos i cant slp. *longwinded entry full of grouses and complaints*
so, i had a nm3208 assignment due on tues. i was working all night+morning to settle dreamweaver/edit photos/find more photos. bascially the assignment is titled 'Just Another Day'- we have to create a simple webpage filled with lots of photos and few text depicting the selected activity. at first i wanted to take photos of my 8am day...but it din turn out so well bcos it rained and the car windows were not clear. then i got inspired by fala when she said she'll just pick some photos from past outings and voila! i decided to pick some sentosa pix from various outings. and i found out that dreamweaver is pretty cool to use bcos its a WYSIWYG program. =D anw there was a template that we could use and i just tweaked it to suit my preferences. its pretty much like tweaking with a blog template, except there was tables involved. the tables were the tricky part. hah. but i got it done. actually we were supposed to present in tutorial.. but i woke up only at 5pm (my class was at 6). and what the heck, i decided to give it a miss and self imposed a cny holiday since i missed a lecture as well. =))) (i prbly shdnt be so proud of it)
well im not done yet. wed i had another nm3217 assignment due so immediately after the prev one, i started beefing up my work (i kinda started on it alr). but in the end i still took the whole night/morning to complete it. =S i think im a pretty low efficient worker. either that or Time always speeds up when im on a deadline.finally, i finished at 6am and went to bed. oh the sickening part is I HAVE TO GO TO SCH TO HAND IT IN. i din really wanna ask around and plead to my frens to help me print and hand it in cos most people have weds off. so i have to wake up after barely few hrs of sleep. my dad sent me to sch but dropped me off at farrer road on the way back. and the way back was conjested bcos everyone is rushing to go home after half day at work. ohhhh! the interesting thing was that this DJ was commenting that there is an exodus of people heading back home and *bam* immediately we noticed this jam at the other side of the road. like the moment he said it, the jam appeared kinda thing. hah ok nvm.
so i went to sch and found out that the sch was not empty!! the crazy lecturers and tutors still conducted lessons AFTER 2PM! its supposed to be a half day aint it?? the poorrrrr students. and poor me bcos i was wearing super dorky clothes, thinking that there would be noone around. =/ upon reaching home, i slept for a few hrs and it was time to wake up (AGAIN!) for reunion dinner! sigh. when can i get my proper slp???
reunion dinner was at Ling Zhi - a Tung Lok group vegetarian restaurant. for 588 bucks, i think the dinner wasnt worth it cos its VEGETARIAN! after a few courses, i was getting sick of the varied vege dishes masquerading as meat. and starch was used unsparingly. =S and i wanna complain abt the measly bird nest dessert!! at first we were wondering if it was real. (birds nest is a by-product of an animal, no?) it turned out to be real but it was NO WAY near the birds nest that we eat. the few strands floating in the canned apricot tasting liquid and u call this a birds nest dessert? -gasp- couldnt even feel the texture!! tung lok, im disappointed in you.
ok ive finished complaining alr. in the next entry, i will talk abt sth nice instead. =D if uve noticed, my body clock is pretty much screwed up bcos of all the midnight oil burning and buddha leg hugging, =S
