menotti!

going to timbre on fri nite was our objective at first but after too many wrong turns on the road, it was really crowded when we finally arrived. it was pointless waiting so we decided to ditch that and walked to chijmes to try our luck instead. we left after touring one round. hm. wrong crowd wrong atmosphere. but it was a blessing in disguise bcos i saw jingjin, jiakai and khai qing just outside menotti which, as they informed us, was delightfully offering half price on their cakes! and so this ended our aimless little night trail.

verdict: minus the noise of chattering, its really a nice place to hang out after dark. perhaps the chattering is testament to the place's wonderfully cosy envt. for this, i'll hafta give thanks for bumping into my seniors.
