nus orientation
if you guys read the sunday times you'd know they had this article in gen y abt risque activities during orientations in the 2 unis. i'd indeed heard about some horrible forfeits some students were made to do in ntu's orientations from my frens beforehand. i was equally flabbergasted. however in the article, FASS orientations were mentioned. i played those games specifically mentioned and SERIOUSLY i didn't feel anything was wrong. i was jus sick and tired that most games had to involve a guy-girl pairing. damn SDU. regarding the passing the sponge game, there had indeed been some accidental lip contact but come on, we're already 19 years and above, in uni and are considered young adults. caucasions half our age are already screwing one another up. a little body contact wouldn't harm seriously. and if someone didn't feel comfortable, that person could always choose to sit out of the games. its really your personal choice. noone would force you to play it. but of course sometimes seniors shouldn't go overboard with their over enthusiasm. i was glad i didn't have to go through games which were too risque. why did anyone from FASS complain?? it was all in the name of fun and bonding so called. and if you really wanna blame, blame SDU. they've been sponsoring all our orientations. its no wonder seniors come up with games of such nature. they have been practically forced to and "brought up" with such ideas for orientations. so in the meantime lets just abandon our reservations and have fun ya??
